British Tamils Commemorated Maaveerar Naal 2024
British Tamils gathered in London 27 of November to pay tribute to fallen cadres. This year marks the 37th year since the tradition was started, which was established by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) on 27 November 1989.
Thousands of British Tamils from across the country came together to commemorate Maaveerar Naal, honouring the sacrifices of their fallen heroes through moving tributes, cultural performances, and remembrance ceremonies.
In London, Tamils united in large numbers at the ExCel centre to remember the Tamil fighters, and commemorate Maaveerar Naal. Families of fallen LTTE fighters gathered by makeshift gravestones to remember their loved ones who gave their lives to the liberation struggle.
