The Anti-Terrorism Bill, which includes provisions for the prevention of terrorist activities, and the Security of Online Systems Bill, which includes provisions for the regulation of social media, are to be submitted to Parliament for the first reading on Tuesday, the 3rd of October 2023.
The Anti-Terrorism Bill was previously submitted to the Parliament but due to the allegations levelled by the opposition to some of its clauses, the bill was withdrawn for amendment.
The amended bill is scheduled to be presented on the 3rd.
