Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has accused President Ranil Wickramesinghe of attempting to frame him for political vengeance.Addressing the Parliament today ( 27 November) ,Minister Ranasinghe said the President was using false facts related to a vehicle to frame him unlawful acts.
He further questioned why the President was taking political revenge, when he, as the Sports Minister, had only exposed corruption.“ My life is at risk, I may be killed today or tomorrow. If something were to happen to me, the President and his advisor Sagala Rathnayake should be held responsible,” he added.Minister Roshan Ranasinghe further accused the government of having taken a Cabinet decision with regard to appointing interim committee without properly briefing the Cabinet Ministers and in his absence.
The minister made the remarks in response to a statement previously made in Parliament by President Ranil Wickramesinghe with regard to the Sri Lanka Cricket crisis.
